Special Education Teacher - Springfield, OR

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
• Current and valid Oregon Special Education Teacher license
• Experience working with students with a variety of abilities, especially in life skills or self-contained SPED settings
• Willingness to be placed at any district location based on need
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a supportive, inclusive classroom
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Foster a safe, positive learning environment that promotes independence
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the unique needs of each student
• Monitor and document student progress toward goals
• Participate in team meetings and professional development
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with state and school requirements
This contract runs from late August 2026 to early June 2027, working a 37.5-hour week in a fully on-site setting. Candidates will receive placement support based on personal preferences and school needs. This is a fantastic chance to gain experience while making a lasting impact.
