Weekday AI is seeking an experienced Marketing Cloud Consultant to serve as the subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud engagements. This client-facing role involves strategic consulting, solution design, technical implementation, and campaign execution within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic guidance on Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture, capabilities, and best practices aligned to business objectivesPartner with stakeholders to define customer engagement strategies, campaign roadmaps, and automation frameworksParticipate in planning sessions, project reviews, and client meetings as the primary SFMC expertRecommend scalable approaches for segmentation, personalization, automation, and customer journey orchestrationConfigure, manage, and optimize Salesforce Marketing Cloud components, including: Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Social Studio, Web Studio / CloudPages, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and Data DesignerBuild and manage Data Extensions, SQL queries, segmentation logic, and automation workflowsConfigure triggered sends, scheduled automations, and data synchronization processesSupport integrations with CRM platforms, APIs, and external data sourcesTroubleshoot platform issues, campaign errors, and performance challengesBuild, test, deploy, and optimize email campaigns and customer journeysConfigure dynamic content, personalization rules, audience segmentation, and automation logicConduct quality assurance testing across devices, browsers, and email clientsDesign and manage A/B testing initiatives to improve campaign performanceCoordinate deployment schedules, stakeholder approvals, and campaign launchesDevelop responsive email templates using HTML and CSSEnsure adherence to accessibility standards and brand guidelinesCreate reusable email frameworks and modular content structuresSupport content optimization and personalization initiativesConfigure campaign tracking, reporting dashboards, and performance monitoringAnalyze campaign metrics including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement trendsManage data hygiene, audience segmentation, suppression lists, and subscriber managementDeliver actionable recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and customer engagementEnsure compliance with data privacy and marketing regulations including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CCPA/CPRASupport consent management, subscription preferences, and opt-in/opt-out processesFollow secure data handling and development practicesMaintain governance documentation, process standards, and operational controlsDevelop user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops for business usersMaintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, workflows, integrations, and customizationsSkills5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutionsDeep expertise across Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules, including: Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Social Studio, Web Studio / CloudPages, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder / Data DesignerStrong experience with Data Extensions, SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, and automation workflowsWorking knowledge of HTML and CSS for responsive email developmentExperience integrating SFMC with CRM systems, APIs, and external data platformsStrong understanding of digital marketing compliance requirements and privacy regulationsExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skillsAbility to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high-quality delivery standardsExperience working with public sector, utilities, or other highly regulated industriesFamiliarity with customer data platforms, marketing analytics, and personalization strategiesKnowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive digital communication practicesSalesforce Marketing Cloud Email SpecialistSalesforce Marketing Cloud ConsultantSalesforce Marketing Cloud DeveloperAdditional Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator or Platform App BuilderCompany OverviewWe are a YC-backed recruitment startup.
