Part-Time Student Residential Assistant for Summer Biology Ahead Program
**Overview:** The Engineering Ahead Program at Penn State Berks is seeking a Part-Time Student Residential Assistant (RA) to support the Biology Ahead Team in all phases of the summer program. This is an outstanding opportunity for students interested in gaining leadership skills, enhancing their marketability, and developing relationships with faculty, staff, and students. **Responsibilities:**
ā¢ Serve as the primary mentor/supervisor to program participants
ā¢ Attend assigned Biology Ahead classes, tutoring sessions, or other extra-curricular programs as needed
ā¢ Accompany students on field trips
ā¢ Assist the Program Coordinator and instructors in all aspects of running the program
ā¢ Be present for the welcome ceremony
ā¢ Lead various activities and events throughout the program
ā¢ *Qualifications:**
ā¢ Current Penn State student with a GPA > 2.50 and in good academic standing
ā¢ Desire to work with students, staff, and faculty; preference given to third-year or higher students who are not taking classes
ā¢ Good disciplinary standing
ā¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ā¢ Integrity; leadership development potential
ā¢ Positive attitude about self and Penn State
ā¢ Problem-solving abilities
