Job Overview We are seeking an analytical, results-driven Manager of Analytics to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our paid media investigation capability, you will be responsible for surfacing data-driven opportunities for the Chief Initiative group, focusing on the optimization of our paid media spend globally. Your expertise in analytics, business intelligence, and data science will enable you to make a significant impact on our marketing strategies and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Deliver reporting and insights in the area of paid media to inform business decisions and optimize marketing spend Design and lead the development of analytics, BI, and data science projects aimed at enhancing paid media and improving marketing efficiencies Collaborate with the paid media data science team and marketing groups to implement media mix models and drive business outcomes Conduct ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by rapid interpretation of results and the reporting and communication of recommendations that drive action Partner with marketing, finance, and product teams to address business challenges and track marketing and product performance using a data-driven approach Leverage Structured Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools to create and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage data (internal data from blithequark, as well as external data from market research and marketing agencies) and address complex business challenges by delivering meaningful insights Conceptualize and run analysis that generates insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and improve our offerings Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an e-commerce environment or related field Advanced SQL skills Advanced experience with at least one industry analysis and metrics visualization tool (e.g., Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI) Mastery of Excel with a proven track record A degree in data science, business, economics, information technology, statistics, mathematics, or other related field Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A passion for working in a team of highly engaged individuals A passion for numbers, data, and statistics, as well as for delivering high-quality analysis and insights A strong bias for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and tight deadlines Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with both business leadership and technical teams effectively Experience with subscription, membership-based, or media content organizations Experience with and/or interest in learning more about cutting-edge data science approaches Programming languages: knowledge of Python Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS Knowledge of Adobe Analytics Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
