Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team as a full-time remote employee. As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing modern business applications that meet the needs of our customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, business, and product stakeholders, to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: • Design, prototype, and demonstrate new features and components of front-end and back-end systems to clients, ensuring compliance with requirements. • Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and product managers to ensure that code meets their vision and requirements. • Develop and implement automated testing scripts, ideally before writing code. • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. • Develop delivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts. • Design and implement services, such as databases and monitoring systems. • Implement Service Reliability Engineering principles. • Troubleshoot issues from development to production, requiring availability for production support. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or related technical engineering role. • 5+ years of experience with Java, J2EE, and Python development. • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong focus on Java Spring and related technologies. • Strong knowledge of AWS server technologies, including S3, Lambda, VPC, Route53, MSK, Kinesis, Aurora, RDS, and DynamoDB. • Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Experience working with GitHub or GitLab, SonarQube, JUnit, and Spring Boot. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) techniques. • Hands-on experience with virtualizing services for test automation using tools like WireMock, Mockito, etc. • Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI. • Knowledge of social and object databases and web service development principles and practices, including RESTful APIs and microservices. • Experience working in an agile development environment using project management tools like VersionOne/Agility. • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.
