Department-Specific Responsibilities
ā¢ Manages SQL Server Scheduling Agent Jobs for enterprise databases.
ā¢ Responsible for model data and design databases.
ā¢ Creates data visuals in Power BI and Power BI Online.
ā¢ Diagnoses and resolves problems quickly.
ā¢ Establishes and maintains effective relationships with clients and matrix support teams.
ā¢ Keeps customers and team members informed and responds to customer requests in a timely manner.
ā¢ Actively contributes in team meetings and shares information.
ā¢ Provides advanced design, development, testing, and configuration of software systems and computer programs; performs advanced analysis, programming, troubleshooting, bug-fixing, and tuning of new and existing software.
ā¢ Consults with stakeholders/clients to review existing software solutions; develops new functionality and/or writes new code as needed; advises clients on critical decisions regarding information technology software solutions that will improve business process efficiency.
ā¢ Provides advanced research/analysis and stays up-to-date on new industry software development standards, emerging technology, UX/UI design/philosophy, and accessibility standards.
ā¢ Makes recommendations to improve, as well as implements, testing, quality assurance, and documentation protocols and procedures for websites and web applications; fixes complex bugs and resolves issues accordingly.
ā¢ Serves as lead contributor in project planning, formulating objectives, estimating tasks; performs studies to include feasibility, conceptual design, cost/benefit analysis, development and implementation planning.
General Responsibilities
ā¢ Provides advanced design, development, testing, and configuration of software systems and computer programs; performs advanced analysis, programming, troubleshooting, bug-fixing, and tuning of new and existing software.
ā¢ Consults with stakeholders/clients to review existing software solutions; develops new functionality and/or writes new code as needed; advises clients on critical decisions regarding information technology software solutions that will improve business process efficiency.
ā¢ Serves as a first point of escalation for diagnosis and resolution of complex technical problems arising from the deployment of software and computer programs.
ā¢ Acts as a lead and takes responsibility for designing advanced programmatic solutions and work with other developers on the team to resolve more complex technical issues.
ā¢ Ensures that all protocols used in the development and maintenance of software is up to date and compliant with university policies and standards; may participate in committees and communities of practice to share and improve software development practices across the university.
ā¢ Provides advanced research/analysis and stays up-to-date on new industry software development standards, emerging technology, UX/UI design/philosophy, and accessibility standards.
ā¢ Makes recommendations to improve, as well as implements, testing, quality assurance, and documentation protocols and procedures for websites and web applications; fixes complex bugs and resolves issues accordingly.
ā¢ Lead contributor in project planning, formulating objectives, estimating tasks; performs studies to include feasibility, conceptual design, cost/benefit analysis, development and implementation planning.

Required
ā¢ Bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science, business systems, or related field)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
ā¢ 5 years software development or related experience

ā¢ This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
