As a Technical Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the products and experiences that help learners around the world gain the knowledge and expertise required to thrive in a cloud-driven economy. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business requirements documents that drive product prioritization, technical design, and architectural review Craft user stories and acceptance criteria to effectively communicate product requirements to development teams Develop comprehensive business requirements documents for complex, multi-phase projects that meet business objectives and customer needs Review technical designs created by engineers to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements, scalability, reliability, availability, and accessibility standards Partner with the Education Programs Architect to align proposed solutions with the overall technical architecture and design principles for Education Programs Own the short- and long-term product roadmap for specific programs, driving product vision and operational plans Anticipate future needs and define a compelling vision for your products, contributing to the growth and success of AWS Education Programs A Day in the Life As a Technical Product Manager at AWS, every day is an opportunity to learn, innovate, and delight customers. Your work may involve: Defining product vision and writing PRFAQ documents to guide product development Partnering with engineering teams to determine the best way to deliver value to customers Identifying ways to address customer feedback and improve product experiences Collaborating with cross-program teams and program stakeholders to make informed product decisions and drive product releases Qualifications and Skills Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experiences Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs in product development Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management processes Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines Essential Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Technical Product Manager at AWS, you will need: Strong technical acumen and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Excellent product management skills, including product vision, strategy, and execution Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and program stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-informed decision-making Customer-centric mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences Career Growth and Development At AWS, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
