Survey CAD Technician for Land Surveying
We are seeking a part-time Survey CAD Technician with experience preparing survey deliverables for land surveying projects. This position is remote and workload will vary based on project demand.
Responsibilities:
Draft Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Route Surveys, Easement Exhibits, Plats, and other survey-related exhibits.
Process field data and prepare final survey drawings.
Create and maintain survey databases, linework, surfaces, and annotations.
Prepare survey deliverables in accordance with Texas surveying standards and company drafting standards.
Revise drawings based on redlines and surveyor review.
Coordinate with project managers and survey crews as needed.
Required Experience:
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Previous experience drafting land surveys.
Understanding of boundary, topographic, and construction survey principles.
Ability to work from field notes, point files, and survey data.
Strong attention to detail and drafting accuracy.
Preferred Experience:
Experience preparing survey products commonly used in Texas.
Familiarity with ALTA/NSPS survey requirements.
Experience with platting, subdivision exhibits, and easement documents.
Carlson Survey experience is a plus.
Understanding of Texas land title and surveying terminology.
This is an ongoing part-time contractor position with opportunities for long-term work.
