About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare to join our dynamic team. In this hybrid role, you'll have the flexibility to work from our remote office or from the comfort of your own home. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be the face of GetixHealth, interacting with patients, clients, and healthcare professionals with compassion, professionalism, and expertise. Key Responsibilities Medical Collections: Ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processing for client-assigned healthcare accounts, adhering to applicable laws and regulations, and GetixHealth's policies and procedures. Patient Engagement: Respond to telephone inquiries (inbound/outbound) using standard procedures and scripts, gathering information, performing research, and resolving customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Communication: Inform patients and customers about available services, assess their needs, and communicate options for resolution, ensuring that they feel heard and supported throughout their journey. Collaboration: Work closely with interdepartmental teams, including leadership, education, and development, to plan and implement department goals, and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Time Management: Prioritize calls, escalate as required, and ensure accurate phone coverage, demonstrating exceptional organizational and time management skills. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, continuously developing your skills and knowledge to excel in your role. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed as a Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare at GetixHealth, you will need: Education: A high school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or university. Language Skills: Spanish fluency is preferred, but not required. Industry Experience: Two to five years of experience in medical revenue cycle management, with a proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle. Medical Knowledge: Practical or classroom knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare operations. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, clients, and healthcare professionals. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications, with strong PC skills. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, with the ability to accurately process information and maintain confidentiality. Teamwork: A proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional results. Work Environment and Physical Requirements As a Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare at GetixHealth, you will work in a hybrid environment, with the flexibility to work from home or our office location. Work Schedule: 10am-7pm CST or 11am-8pm CST. Physical Requirements: The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment, such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Occasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs. Driver License: A current, valid driver license or reliable transportation to commute to/from work is required.
