Job Opportunity: Strings Private Teaching We are excited to announce an opportunity for Strings Private Teaching at our Ogden campus. As a private teacher, you will play a vital role in providing individualized instruction to students enrolled in our String Project program. This is a unique chance to inspire and mentor students, helping them to develop their musical skills and passion for music. Key Responsibilities: Provide private lessons to assigned students in violin, viola, cello, or bass Hold 10 (30-minute) private lessons with each assigned student throughout the Spring semester Develop and implement customized lesson plans to meet the needs and goals of each student Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback Maintain accurate records of lessons, student progress, and communication with students and parents Participate in departmental meetings and events as required Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Currently enrolled as a string student at Weber State University Highly committed to teaching and mentoring students Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students of varying skill levels and ages Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching or tutoring experience Strong background in music education or performance Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels Skills and Competencies: Strong technical skills in violin, viola, cello, or bass Excellent pedagogical skills and ability to communicate complex musical concepts Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Weber State University, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our employees.
