Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Executive Assistant to support the Chief Audit Executive and the Internal Audit & Advisory Services department. The Senior Executive Assistant provides a blend of high‑level administrative support and light Chief of Staff–style partnership, serving as a trusted advisor and operational partner to senior executives. This role requires exceptional judgment, discretion, and the ability to anticipate needs, prioritize effectively, and streamline operations in a fast‑paced, highly matrixed environment. What will my duties and responsibilities be in this job? Executive & Administrative Leadership Serve as a strategic partner to senior executives, proactively managing priorities, communications, and administrative operations. Oversee complex calendar management, applying strong executive prioritization to align time with critical business objectives. Act with urgency and a high degree of autonomy in resolving scheduling conflicts and managing shifting priorities. Coordinate and manage all aspects of meetings, including executive-level presentations, agendas, materials, and logistics across multiple locations. Draft and refine executive communications, including memos, presentations, and organizational materials with a high level of professionalism and accuracy. Manage domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and ensuring compliance with all travel requirements. Handle expense management, invoice processing, and related administrative functions with accuracy and efficiency. Maintain strict confidentiality while serving as a trusted liaison between executives, senior leadership, and internal/external stakeholders. Operational & Strategic Support Support leadership operating rhythms, including executive meetings, QBRs, and leadership forums. Provide light Chief of Staff support, including tracking key initiatives, follow-ups, and ensuring alignment against business priorities. Gather, analyze, and synthesize information (e.g., surveys, feedback, operational data) to support decision-making and leadership insights. Partner with leadership to support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including documentation of critical roles and system access. Coordinate departmental initiatives such as space planning, employee engagement, and recognition programs. Serve as a liaison with Facilities, IT, and other corporate functions to ensure seamless operational support. Facilitate onboarding and technology setup for new hires and support ongoing system access and troubleshooting needs. Process Improvement & Execution Excellence Identify opportunities to enhance executive workflows, processes, and operating cadences. Leverage tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-enabled solutions to streamline, automate, and improve administrative and operational processes where applicable. Apply strong project management discipline to coordinate initiatives, track deliverables, and ensure timely execution. Demonstrate an inquisitive, solutions-oriented mindset to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness. What are the requirements needed for this position? 8+ years of experience supporting C-suite executives in a complex, matrixed organization. Demonstrated experience in executive prioritization, managing competing demands, and aligning leadership focus to business-critical activities. Experience in large, regulated, or publicly traded companies with strong governance standards. Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-stakes environments with shifting priorities. Sense of urgency, ownership, and ability to operate with autonomy. Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Project management skills are a plus. What other skills/experience would be helpful to have? Strong understanding of enterprise operations, strategy execution, and transformation initiatives. Experience supporting executive-level interactions, including Board and senior leadership engagements. Familiarity with leadership operating rhythms such as QBRs and executive reviews. Ability to interpret and work with financial and operational data at a high level. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience leveraging AI tools and digital solutions to improve workflows and productivity. Expertise in preparing executive-level presentations and communications. Experience improving processes, workflows, and executive support models. Proficiency with virtual collaboration and communication tools. #AssurantProudSD Pay Range: $56,200.00 - $94,100.00 Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
