Senior Technical Product Manager

As a key member of the NETGEAR Taiwan Engineering Center, you will lead initiatives to ensure the security of our home wireless networking products. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project management responsibilities, with a strong focus on resolving security issues in existing firmware and driving the design of new security software features. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to protect our products against emerging threats and maintain a high standard of security across our product lines. This is a Hybrid role and requires to be in the Taipei office 3 days a week. Key Responsibilities: • Identify, investigate, and drive mitigation of security vulnerabilities in existing firmware in a timely and effective manner. • Collaborate with third-party vendors, ODM partners, and in-house engineering teams to resolve security issues and coordinate timely delivery of solutions. • Lead and coordinate the design and implementation of new security software features, ensuring alignment with current threat models and product architecture. • Monitor the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat intelligence, and assess their relevance to NETGEAR products. • Provide expert guidance on secure design practices for both hardware and software development. • Manage end-to-end project execution, from planning through delivery, ensuring milestones are met and cross-functional alignment is maintained. • Track and report project status, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders. • Contribute to process improvements that enhance security development and vulnerability response workflows. Required Qualifications: • Deep understanding of network security technologies and vulnerabilities, especially in the home networking space. • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with firmware development, with a strong emphasis on security; background in home router development under Linux is highly preferred. • At least 3 years of experience in security-related roles, such as vulnerability assessment, secure design, or threat mitigation. • Minimum 3 years of technical project management experience, preferably in the networking or security domain. • Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and defensive programming. • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliver results. • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of deliverables. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of initiative and teamwork.
