DomainTools is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend team. We want you to research, develop and deliver cutting edge code in our near-real time large volume data systems. We predict, detect, expand, process, deliver, and continually monitor changes in the Internet to create a safe, secure, and open Internet for everyone!We have created a developer-centric platform that allows for continuous integration and deployment of our world class security applications to our hybrid cloud environment. We are curating a list of best in class tools while building what is missing to make getting our jobs done easier.Work closely with small, highly collaborative Operations and Development teams to architect and deploy high impact security solutions. Don't miss out, contact us for more information.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, and maintain large-scale data collection and processing systemsDiscover, analyze, and validate new data sets to add value for our customersCreative problem solving to necessarily complex systems Research, prove and employ cutting edge techniques & technologiesProvide code reviews, design feedback, demos, technical requirements & documentationProvide accurate, scope, estimates for time, capacity & costs of projectsImprove the lives of your coworkers by accelerating engineering productivity, reducing operational toil and increasing consistencyProvide technical leadership, assist in on-boarding & mentoring of junior engineersRequirementsKey Applicant QualificationsProfessional development experience using GoLang, Rust, or equivalent languages: 5+ yearsExperience with JavaScript and standard web browser APIs, 3+ yearsFamiliarity with browser fingerprinting techniques, bot and scraper countermeasuresCloud infrastructure experience in AWS, Docker and Kubernetes: 3+ yearsScalable data engineering experience using data stores like ElasticSearch, Postgres, CockroachDB, MySQL, Hive, Spark: 3+ yearsLinux/Unix experience: 5+ yearsPositive attitude, high initiative & history of good productivity that adds valueAttention to detail & high quality resultsExcellent written & verbal communication skillsAbility to coordinate between teamsExcited about security spacePlusesBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/related field or equivalent experienceDesign, implementation and/or maintenance of CICD & microservicesExperience with Data Pipelines such as ElasticSearch, Kafka, NATS or Apache AirflowBash, Scala, or C development experienceExperience with full stack developmentBenefitsDomainTools is the global leader for Internet intelligence and the first place security practitioners go when they need to know.
