Senior Scrum Master & Agile Coach
Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master and Agile Coach to champion agile methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement within their product development teams. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about agile principles and experienced in guiding teams towards high performance. You will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and coaching teams on agile best practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and other relevant frameworks. Your expertise will be crucial in helping teams maximize their productivity, deliver high-quality software, and adapt to changing project requirements effectively.
As a Senior Scrum Master and Agile Coach, you will work with multiple teams, providing guidance and support to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams. You will play a key role in promoting agile adoption across the organization, helping to scale agile practices where appropriate, and driving cultural change. This position involves mentoring other Scrum Masters, facilitating cross-team collaboration, and helping to resolve complex organizational impediments. A strong understanding of different agile frameworks, experience in conflict resolution, and excellent facilitation skills are essential. This role is fully remote, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with distributed teams. You should be adept at fostering collaboration, transparency, and continuous learning within an agile environment.
Responsibilities: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives) for multiple agile teams. Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and development teams on agile principles, practices, and values. Identify and remove impediments hindering team progress and productivity. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the teams. Help teams to self-organize and manage their work effectively. Facilitate conflict resolution and improve team dynamics. Assist in scaling agile practices across the organization, including potential adoption of SAFe or LeSS. Develop and deliver training on agile methodologies and tools. Track and report on team performance metrics, providing insights for improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of agile processes. Champion agile adoption and foster a positive, collaborative team environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management or software development, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Scrum Master role. Proven experience as an Agile Coach, guiding multiple teams and supporting organizational agility. Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, XP, and other agile methodologies. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification required. Advanced certifications (e.g., CSPO, CSP, SAFe Agilist) are highly desirable. Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities. Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and foster an agile mindset.
