About this role
Carrier Supply Chain is creating a program office built/focused on process improvement and ensuring year-over-year gains from material and operational productivity. This is a great opportunity for someone with program management experience to execute direct material related projects through rigorous focus, cross-functional teamwork and initiative management. Projects will center around supplier consolidation, category strategy and supplier transition.
The Senior Manager Supply Chain Management will be an individual contributor with cross-functional impact. This is a US-based remote role, but preference will be given to candidates living in Florida.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a direct material-related project that focuses i.e.
• Transfer of work for large suppliers with high global spend
• Work on huge cost-reduction initiatives
• Develop detailed project plans that evaluate resource needs, timelines and risk mitigation processes
• Establish a cross-functional network
• Foster collaboration with wider Supply Chain organization i.e. Engineering, Quality Operations, and Product Management to align on the strategy of the program
• Own the success and quality of the project delivery, including communication with the wider Carrier network
• Develop critical milestone plans that ensure successful project implementation
• Manage multiple business partners to work through roadblocks and mitigate potential obstacles
• Communicate with upper management on weekly progress
• Train and educate all operational and supply chain key players on supplier changes and cut-over dates
• Ensure that Carrier inventory levels are managed to ensure maximum in-year
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 years plus of experience in the sourcing environment, strategic sourcing concepts or lean tools
• 5 years of experience in project/program management
Preferred Qualifications
Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, or business
• Advanced degree
• Professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CIRM, CPIM)
• Supply chain strategy (development and execution), category or industry-specific
• Independently driven problem-solver
• Address complex challenges in a fast-moving environment
• Track record of successful leadership, negotiation, and strategic communication
• Business acumen
• Collaborate across various levels within a diverse, global organization
