About the Role As a Senior Data Scientist, Analytics at DoorDash, you'll be at the forefront of driving business decisions through data-driven insights. You'll work closely with various stakeholders across the organization to identify key challenges, develop data-backed solutions, and implement strategies that propel our growth. Key Responsibilities Utilize quantitative analysis and data visualization to uncover hidden patterns and trends, driving business decisions and growth. Design and develop full-cycle analytical experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools. Mentor junior analysts in advanced methodologies and problem-solving, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. Develop and validate hypotheses using statistical techniques and testing, providing actionable recommendations to business leaders. Provide insights into market dynamics, customer behavior, and long-term trends, informing strategic decisions and driving business outcomes. Identify and quantify opportunities to drive key metrics, developing data-driven solutions and recommendations. Collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and monitor logging and data infrastructure. Track progress against goals, developing leader-facing dashboards to measure success and inform future decisions. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in data analysis, consulting, or a related role, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven insights. Proficiency in SQL, ETL, A/B testing, and statistical analysis using tools like Matlab, R, SAS, or Python. Experience with data visualization tools like Chartio, Looker, or Tableau. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle ambiguous problems in a structured, hypothesis-driven, and data-supported manner. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with pipeline optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analysis, time series analysis, regression models, and other advanced statistical techniques. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, with experience applying them to drive business outcomes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
