YOUR TEAM ADAS/AD develops a scalable, global technology stack for NCAP up to Level 4 Driving and Parking functions that can be always up-to-date. Our technology will power basic driver assistance as well as advanced automated Driving (aka ADAS/AD) and Parking functions for all brands within Volkswagen Group in the “Ownership” spectrum. The AI Platform team develops Ground Truth using AI or humans for training ADAS/AD function. You will contribute to one the Labeling Platform. The Labeling Platform team owns the multi‑tenant labeling platform for ADAS, ensuring scalable, high‑quality annotation workflows and integrated visualization and interactive ticketing system capabilities for AI assisted selection data and labeling. It governance, labeling job orchestration, and vendor/internal annotator interfaces. The team also provides dataset analytics and visualization tools for coverage, drift detection, and QA metrics, enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the pipeline. It ensures compliance with privacy and security standards while delivering a seamless user experience for labeling operations. WHAT YOU WLL DO Develop, deploy and maintain tooling that enables ground truth generation which includes Labeling 2D and 3D editors/viewers Manual AI-based search; Labeling Selection, Planning, Monitoring and management Orchestration of ground truth processes Develop and co-architect high-available & scalable cloud services Monitor and support operations service runtime for scalability and cost efficiency for services with over 1K daily users WHO YOU ARE Strong proficiency in Scala & Python, Bonus: Java, JavaScript, and/or C/C++ Experience developing distributed applications on Kubernetes Deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Helm) Hands-on experience with Azure services: EventHub, Service Bus, and/or Storage Queues (event-driven, broker-based architecture) and Blob Containers Working with relational databases and data warehouses PostgreSQL and Databricks Familiarity with non-relational databases e.g., Redis Workflow and batch processing on Kubernetes in Argo Workflows or Apache Airflow Development of REST and Pub/Sub APIs Nice to have: experience with AI inference or video processing/computer vision NICE TO KNOW Remote work options Temporary work from abroad in selected countries Flextime / optional working hours Company pension plan Annual professional development Sabbatical option up to 6 months 30 days paid + 10 days unpaid leave Possibility for VW Group car leasing If you have further questions about the candidate journey at CARIAD, please contact us: [email protected] At CARIAD, we embrace individuality and diversity because we believe our differences make us stronger.
