Role Overview
This is a customer-facing role supporting large and strategic enterprise customers. The SAP Basis Technical Program Manager acts as the primary technical advisor, owning the customer's SAP landscape and leading all technology and cloud service delivery discussions throughout the SAP RISE journey.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers regarding SAP technology and cloud service delivery
ā¢ Partner with the Client Delivery Manager (CDM) to maintain regular stakeholder cadence and manage service delivery expectations
ā¢ Lead and own technical discussions, coordinating with internal SAP delivery experts as needed
ā¢ Maintain a deep understanding of the customer's SAP landscape and system interdependencies
ā¢ Support account and technical operations teams in executing service delivery plans and schedules
ā¢ Analyze customer technical requirements and drive issues to resolution by coordinating the appropriate technical experts
ā¢ Present technical offerings, architecture details, and engagement models to internal and external stakeholders
Cloud, Security & Architecture
ā¢ Guide customers on Business Continuity, Security, Compliance, and Network architecture
ā¢ Assess customer security and network requirements to ensure alignment with SAP security architecture standards
ā¢ Conduct monthly technical and operational reviews against cloud architecture and roadmap
ā¢ Drive issue resolution plans through to completion
ā¢ Support SAP migration and modernization roadmaps in collaboration with partners, system integrators, and SAP professional services
SAP Technical Expertise
ā¢ Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion paths, migration methodologies, and tools
ā¢ Experience with SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios involving SAP BTP, Ariba, SuccessFactors, and related platforms
Education & Skills
ā¢ Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Management
ā¢ Strong knowledge of SAP product portfolio and solution offerings
ā¢ Proven technical project/program management and customer-facing experience
ā¢ Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
ā¢ Strong engagement management, relationship-building, and de-escalation skills
ā¢ Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
ā¢ Understanding of SAP solution releases, platform interdependencies, and cloud-based operations
ā¢ Experience with at least one hyperscaler: AWS, Azure, or GCP
Required Experience
ā¢ 4+ years SAP Basis administration experience (required)
ā¢ 4+ years customer-facing SAP technical consulting
ā¢ 4+ years solution design, enterprise architecture, or SAP implementation experience
ā¢ 2+ years technical project management for SAP operations or implementations
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
ā¢ SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, or SAP HANA certifications
ā¢ Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
ā¢ SAP HANA / S/4HANA experience
ā¢ Cloud security experience (cybersecurity, encryption, key management)
