[Remote] District Sales Manager

LAPP Americas is a leading company in the wire and cable industry, seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to drive business development and build customer relationships. The role involves managing a territory, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with customers to deliver technical solutions.ResponsibilitiesHunt for new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts through strategic relationship buildingMaintain 6-10 points of contact within each account to maximize penetrationManage your calendar and territory effectively to optimize coverage and resultsIdentify and close large opportunities with clear focus areasCollaborate with customers on design projects and technical solutionsLeverage CRM and pipeline management tools to track and develop opportunitiesConvert leads from trade shows, PEC reports, and digital channels into revenueWork closely with manufacturer representatives on joint business developmentCoordinate with Sales Development and Operations teams for optimal territory managementAttend local and regional wire & cable, industry, and OEM shows to maintain market presenceSkillsStrong technical skills with the ability to understand technical concepts and provide hands-on demonstrations of our productsRelevant knowledge of Industrial Connector products (IDC, ÖC, Epic preferred)Proficient computer skills with ability to learn our business and processesProven success in market research, cold calling, lead qualification and closing businessExperience with CRM and opportunity pipeline managementStrong negotiation skills and forecasting abilitiesMulti-level opportunity management across customer segmentsSelf-motivated individual who is driven for successOutstanding relationship building skills and committed team playerHigh level of integrityCustomer discovery expertise - you know how to ask the right questionsAbility to develop unique value propositions by customer type and market segmentBachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)Minimum 2-3 years prior experience in the distribution industry and/or direct sellingTravel required within assigned territory (minimum 70%, some overnight)Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)BenefitsParticipation in LAPP's variable comp planMedicalVisionDentalPaid Time OffPaid Holidays401(k)HSA/FSALife InsuranceCompany OverviewWelcome to LAPP in the Americas!
