The Opportunity

The Sales Representative position will be working remotely for our business division ID Infectious Disease at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Netherlands which is located in Hoofddorp.

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics specializes in providing innovative diagnostic solutions to improve patient care, offering a wide range of point-of-care (POC) testing systems designed to deliver rapid and accurate results directly at the care site and in diverse healthcare settings.

The role will be responsible for achieving sales objectives, promoting Abbott’s POC products and services across Primary & Secondary Care sectors and developing key accounts within the specified geographic sector.

What You’ll Do
Drive market development and build strong, sustainable customer relationships to achieve sales targets
Promote, position, and execute the Abbott RDx ID product portfolio within the assigned territory
Prepare tailored proposals for customers and manage the full contract process
Monitor market trends and competitive activities and provide regular insights and reporting
Deliver product and application training to customers within the region
Represent Abbott at round tables, conferences, exhibitions, and other national and international events
Ensure accurate documentation of customer visits and sales activities in the CRM system

Required Qualifications & Skills
Proven sales experience in the laboratory diagnostics market in the Netherlands
Strong track record in winning new business and building lasting, trust‑based customer relationships
Results‑oriented mindset with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Ability to clearly articulate product features, benefits, solutions, value propositions and total cost of ownership to secure long‑term strategic business
Strong problem‑solving skills and a consultative approach to identifying customer needs and solutions
Positive, energetic team player with a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
Excellent organizational, facilitation and presentation abilities
Strong communication skills with persuasive impact across different customer levels
Driven by objectives, solution‑oriented, able to meet deadlines and committed to customer satisfaction
Fluency in Dutch and English is required
Willingness to travel (approximately 70–80%)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in laboratory diagnostics sales
Strong understanding of the laboratory environment and diagnostics industry landscape
Experience driving or supporting change initiatives within customer‑focused organizations
Ability to think creatively and challenge established practices to identify innovative solutions
Experience working on strategic topics and contributing to long‑term business planning
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
