Risk Assurance Associate I (Start Date: September 2026)

The Risk Assurance Associate I will work with multiple client engagements, responsible for evaluating and testing controls of complex business processes, assisting with audits, and developing client relationships.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for working with multiple client engagements throughout the yearReview, document, evaluate and test controls of complex business processes such as the financial close and reporting, inventory, equity, revenue, and HR/payroll processesAttend walkthroughs during control testing and assist auditor in-charge by taking detailed notes and testing details in working papersAssist with financial statement audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing by identifying control objectives and the design of control procedures to address those objectivesIdentify internal business process controls by assessing their design and operational effectiveness, determining risk exposures and developing remediation plansCommunicate issues that arise during the engagement with the support of the engagement managerDevelop and maintain client relationships, thus driving client satisfactionResearch, understand and apply complex accounting concepts and auditing proceduresWork as a team with Domestic U.S. and offshore engagement teamsIdentify internal IT general controls, by assessing their design and operational effectiveness, determining exposure and developing remediation plansSkillsA minimum GPA of 3.0 in BS/MA/MSA/MST/Certification Program in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management Information SystemsInterest in pursuing the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certificationsInterest in a career in public accountingPositive, enthusiastic energyDesire to continuously learnExcellent oral and written communication skillsForward-thinking and hands-on approachStrong written and verbal communication skillsCompany OverviewHi there, we're BPM!
