Remote/Local Tax Preparer

Responsibilities • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations with precision and attention to detail • Analyze financial documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and expense reports to ensure accurate reporting • Utilize accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and other tax preparation tools to compile data efficiently • Review client financial information to identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining tax concepts clearly and addressing client questions thoroughly • Stay current on changing tax laws and regulations through continuous learning and professional development • Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry using 10 key typing skills and maintaining organized records • Collaborate with team members on technical accounting issues related to corporate accounting or public accounting practices • Support marketing efforts by promoting our tax services through client engagement and outreach activities • Conduct analysis of financial data to optimize tax strategies and improve overall financial health for clients Requirements • Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles with a focus on taxation • Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and technical accounting standards • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software tools is a plus • Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and calculations • Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for quick data processing • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping practices and corporate accounting procedures • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex tax information clearly • Basic math skills necessary for precise calculations and analysis of financial data • Experience in financial sales or marketing is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for client engagement is essential • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Join us in helping clients achieve their financial goals!
