[Remote] Sr. Event Technology Project Manager

They are seeking a Sr. Event Technology Project Manager to lead and consult on medium-to-large events, managing event registration and attendee-facing digital platforms while ensuring client needs are met and exceeded.ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors for all event technology and registration workstreamsServe as the overall Opus project lead on small to mid-sized events with exclusively event technology and registration servicesUnderstand all workstreams supported by Opus Event Technology and Registration (e.g., technical architecture/platform configuration, housing management, customer service) and represent these workstreams to clients as Opus team leadOversee all assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects across event typesDevelop, maintain, and drive workback schedulesLead the planning, execution, and closeout of attendee-facing event technology projects primarily for registration websites, but potentially including content/session scheduling, session scanning, exhibitor resource centers, speaker resource centers, mobile apps, and customer serviceDemonstrate proficiency in digital platforms and tools; understands functionality, user experience, and troubleshooting; consults clients on configuration best practicesCreate and maintain internal process documentation, while ensuring all team members are aligned and following established processes and proceduresManage documentation and content for platform/tool builds, translating business objectives into detailed technical specifications, documented processes, and project plansLead complex client and team meetings, including platform demos and technical discussions within area of expertiseProactively identify potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies, escalating critical issues to senior management as appropriateDelivers projects within time and budgetary requirementsOversee complex onsite deployments, including for badge pick-up, session scanning, and other event technology workstreamsLead and contribute to internal trainings and resources; recommend process and resource improvementsSupervises work of project team members from Event Technology & RegistrationOversees work of temporary staff deployed onsite at eventsActs as an event supervisor for employees in area of focusMay manage full-time employee direct reportsSkills8+ years of experience in a relevant role, with strong preference for experience in corporate eventProven experience in management of small, high-touch events that require a high degree of discretion and diplomacy, sound judgment, exacting attention to detail, and highly professional communicationSupervisor experience preferredStrong critical thinking, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsEffectively manages time to meet deadlines and support team deliverablesConfident communicator with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; high attention to precise, clear, grammatically correct written communication with a high degree of diplomacyExcellent documentation skillsSkilled at prioritizing multiple projects in high-pressure, fast-paced environmentsAdaptable to last-minute changes and frequent interruptionsAlways maintains confidentiality and professionalismCollaborative and able to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and vendorsSelf-motivated and resourceful; proactively manages own learning and developmentProvides constructive feedback in a professional mannerAdaptable to multiple tool suites (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Slack, Zoom, Monday.com, file shares)Solid math skills, for analyzing event data and supporting budget management and reconciliationInterpret and respond to varied instructions and solve non-standard problemsPreferred experience with event management tools such as Rainfocus, Swoogo, Stova, Cvent, Eventbase, AirtableBachelor's degree from four-year institution is preferredBenefitsFull time positionOpportunities for growth and developmentHealth & Dental Insurance (choice of plans)100% Employer paid short-term disability and life insuranceOpportunity to elect additional life insurance and LTD insurance at employee expensePaid parental leaveOpportunity to contribute pre-tax dollars to flexible spending accounts401(K) with employer matchFlexibility in work schedulesGenerous time offCompany OverviewA Beaverton, Ore.-based corporate events and experiential marketing agency It was founded in 2003, and is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, USA, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
