Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Senior Epic Application Analyst to advance critical Revenue Cycle and Epic Professional Billing initiatives. This role involves designing, building, optimizing, and supporting complex clinical and financial applications while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure systems align with business needs.ResponsibilitiesLeads and monitors midsize to large scale projects within multiple functional departmentsPerforms complex designs, implements, maintains, and provides ongoing optimization and support for Epic clinical applicationsPerforms workflow assessments, capture business needs, and analyze internal systems to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization of Epic applicationsWorks within cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration to meet clinical needsPerforms builds, upgrades, and system enhancements as neededSupports applications throughout all phases of implementationDelivers post-implementation training, support, troubleshooting, and maintenanceConfigures vendor applications and productsMaintains system documentation and develops system specifications and proceduresDefines and documents user requirementsApplies project planning and project management methodologiesCoordinates and leads short duration projects; monitoring project process, progress and resultsDevelops test plans, prepares test data and performs system testingProvides on-site user support during implementationsTakes on-call for system application support at scheduled timesAudits data entered by end usersTroubleshoots and tracks issues and problemsApplies systems development methodology to solve problemsHandles multiple assignments simultaneouslyOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree5 years of Epic application experienceAn Associate degree and seven (7) years of Epic application experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor'sEpic certification(s)Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users including proficiency with information systems technology such as Microsoft Office ProductsExperienced planning and organizing day-to-day activities, effectively managing more than one task, and meeting established deadlinesExperienced in leading projects, providing expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives, effectively dedicating time across more than one project, and meeting established deadlinesExperience leading meetings between business stakeholders, technical resources, and third parties for business requirements and technical solutionsExperienced working with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, and interacting with all levels of the organizationDetail oriented, strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills with technical and clinical audiencesAbility to troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systemsExperience working in a hospital or other health care organizationBenefitsRush offers exceptional rewards and benefits learn more at our Rush benefits page (https://www.rush.edu/rush-careers/employee-benefits).Company OverviewRush University Medical Center offers healthcare services for children and adults, clinical trials, medical education and training services.
