They are seeking a highly skilled Software Applications Engineer to design, implement, and maintain software for high-reliability systems in safety-critical environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop utilities and application-level software solutionsDesign, implement, test, and maintain software for high-reliability systems in safety-critical environmentsCreate sustainable, reusable, modular tools that can be used for multiple purposesUtilize Git and GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaborative developmentSupport build automation, system integration, and testing through scripting and command-line toolsContribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and assist in deploying software to cloud environments, particularly AWSSkills3–7 years of professional experience in software application development, ideally in aerospace, defense, or safety-critical industriesProficiency in one or more programming languages: C#, Python, Java, javascript, etcHands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and Visual Studio or similar development environmentsFamiliarity with Bash or PowerShell for scripting and automation tasksExperience with CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitHub Actions, and exposure to AWS infrastructureSpecial bonus experience would be modern web full-stack development and languages (node.js, react, vue, angular, etc.)BenefitsCompetitive total compensation packageComprehensive benefit package options include medical, dental, vision, life, and more.401k with company-match4 weeks of paid time off each year12 annual company holidaysCompany OverviewZone 5 Technologies is an aviation component manufacturing company that develops and tests unmanned aircraft systems.
