[Remote] Senior Project Manager

The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities of assigned projects to ensure goals and approved scope are accomplished within prescribed timelines and funding parameters.ResponsibilitiesUnderstands and applies principles, theories, and concepts related to the profession and Company cultureExercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionImpact is generally limited to specific assignments or projectsMay respond to inquiries and/or provide assistance and guidance to lower-level workersLeads multiple medium to high complexity projects simultaneously, maintaining deep engagement across all workstreams and resource pools under PMO management supervisionPartners with the project business owner and technical lead to determine delivery strategy, provide direction to the project team, and drive stakeholder awarenessProvides concise executive-level communication and recommendations to sponsors, steering committees, and senior leadershipManages complex team dynamics, facilitates conflict resolution, conducts negotiations, and achieves organizational objectives through influence without formal authority, with PMO supportActively drives project delivery by facilitating decisions, resolving blockers, identifying risks/issues, and implementing mitigation plans while maintaining momentum across teams, vendors, and stakeholdersNavigates a matrixed resource environment, negotiating resource commitments across competing prioritiesManages external dependencies across teams, systems, and timelines to maintain schedule integrity and risk controlIdentifies and manages cross-project and cross-program dependencies impacting scope, schedule, cost, or outcomesEscalates issues appropriately and facilitates timely decision-making when priorities or requirements conflictConducts detailed scope analysis to develop and maintain an accurate work breakdown structure throughout the project lifecycleMaintains a current and accurate project plan reflecting real resource assignments, progress, and forecastsMaintains reasonable variance between cost forecasts and actuals, with timely explanations for deviationsCoordinates vendor procurement, engagement, delivery, and performance as applicablePartners with stakeholders to support organizational readiness, adoption planning, and implementation activitiesMaintains timesheet compliance across project teams, including reviewing and approving/rejecting weekly submissionsUtilizes existing and emerging technologies (collaboration tools, AI, data analysis, and PPM tools) to improve project execution efficiencyOperates in a highly regulated, audit-conscious environment, ensuring compliance, documentation, and reporting standards are metSupports PMO continuous improvement initiatives as assignedSupports PMO-sponsored projects or other initiatives as assignedFosters a project culture aligned with the Company’s core valuesSkillsMinimum 5 years of related experience managing projects, product delivery, or workstream delivery beyond degree requirementsExperience within a formal enterprise PMO with structured phase-gate/tollgate governance and executive accountabilityExperience managing medium to high complexity projects with cross-functional resource poolsExperience working in a matrixed organization with shared services and resource negotiationExperience in highly regulated, audit-conscious environments with formal documentation and reporting requirementsExperience using waterfall and hybrid methodologies within structured governance frameworksProficiency in Microsoft Project and JIRA or similar project tracking toolsBachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, IT, or related fieldOR equivalent combination of education and experience providing similar knowledgeExperience in ISO/RTO, ISO/RTO stakeholder, or electric utility environmentsProficiency in AI prompt designPMP (Project Management Professional)Agile / Scrum certificationsOrganizational Change Management certificationsLean Six Sigma certificationsBenefitsMedical, dental and vision coverage through Florida BlueShort- and long-term disability coverageEmployer paid life insuranceParticipation in the MWResource 401K plan for US based consultantsCompany OverviewMWResource provides our customers with the experienced energy industry experts to assist you with designing, implementing, and maintaining successful critical energy infrastructure systems.
