[Remote] Senior Process Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with extensive experience in process design and optimization of advanced water treatment systems, responsible for leading system design, installation, and troubleshooting at customer sites.ResponsibilitiesFunction as a biological wastewater treatment expertLead the system design, installation, and start upProvide system data analysisCreate O&M manualsProvide troubleshooting and maintenance of biological wastewater systems at customer sitesPreparation of general equipment specifications, PFD, mass balances, load list, component specifications, controls overviews, major equipment lists, equipment layouts, controls narratives and power consumption at different conditions with respect to guaranteed parametersSupport facility engineer and controls engineer for PID, system layout and electrical one-lineCreate basis of design documents with information passed on from the applications/sales teamPreparation of preliminary and final Process designs for: o Coarse and fine screening of wastewater o Sump, lift and above grade pumping stations. o Tank aerations system including diffusers and blower systems. o Pretreatment including SAF/DAF and Lamella clarifiers. o Anaerobic digesters (EGSB) o MBR systems (flat sheet, hollow fiber) o Chemical dosing systemsSystem instrumentation (pressure, flow, turbidity, conductivity/TDS, level, pH, TOC, DO, chlorine, ORP) o Sludge treatment (including filter/fan press, thickening, etc.) o Post treatment (UV, chlorination)The above designs include the selection of process and process calculations, membrane selection, filters selection, pump and blower selection, instrumentation selection, hydraulic calculations, pressure drop calculation, line sizing etcPrepare RFQ documents with procurement, scopes of work, datasheets, etc. for valves, pumps, blowers, membranes, and other engineering items with proper selections required for anaerobic, BioViper, MBR and RO projects and bidsSupport preparation of Control philosophy, O&M manual, commissioning book for the execution of the projectsInteract closely with controls engineer to help in logic development for FAT and SATTake part in the Commissioning activities of the projectSupport product development activities and interface with stakeholders to report on progressSupport new customer site installations and troubleshooting of existing customer sites operationsInterface with Sales, Applications Engineering and Project Execution to support ongoing project effortsSupport procurement with sourcing and manufacturing effortsTravel to sites to support projects and field activitiesProcess design for each assigned project from preliminary to finalization to make sure all reactors and equipment are sized correctly and selected economicallyControls narrative for assigned project to make sure the process control is clearly described to controls engineer for programmingWet testing during system commissioning to make sure all pre-conditions are metTechnical instruction for system inoculation and start upSite performance for assigned customer sites to make sure no process issue affecting the system performanceBiological wastewater treatment system troubleshooting on any customer sites when neededSkillsBachelor's degree in engineering10+ years of process design & integration experience, preferably in the food and beverage or water and wastewater industry (both aerobic and anaerobic systems along with membrane treatment systems)Extensive experience in design, installation, start up, operation, troubleshoot and maintenance EGSB, UASB and/or other biological wastewater treatment systemsExperience in analysis of wastewater treatment plants, water audit for industries and related issuesAbility to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-discipline teamsUnderstanding of basic fabrication techniquesStellar written and verbal communication skillsProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredBenefitsA supportive, highly collaborative, team-oriented environmentOpportunities to make a difference and be recognized.Growth and development with a leader in the industryAbility to work with bright, innovative, and forward-thinking colleagues.Competitive compensation and benefitsCompany OverviewAt Cambrian our vision is simple: industry is an ecosystem.
