[Remote] Senior Engineer/Scientist - Statistician
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Planned Systems International is hiring a Senior Engineer/Scientist ā Statistician, who will provide expert methodological and epidemiological advice on data analysis. The role involves developing job exposure matrices, verifying and cleaning data, and preparing analyses for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Responsibilities
⢠Provide expert methodological and epidemiological advice on data analysis and serve as the primary data science resource among those individuals provided by the contract
⢠Provide assistance in developing job exposure matrices which takes into account uncertainty from expert assessments
⢠Identifies appropriate analytical methods or statistical programs to address study objectives
⢠Verifies, cleans, edits, and converts data to the proper format, as needed, to ensure that it is suitable for proposed analysis
⢠Provides statistical programming to achieve statistical objectives or required data manipulation
⢠Constructs statistical models and graphics, and uses statistical methods/techniques, as needed, to evaluate study hypotheses
⢠Prepares rigorous, statistically sound analyses for manuscripts intended for publication in peer-reviewed journals or CDC publications that rarely require further validation
⢠Manuscript preparation in collaboration with NIOSH scientists
Skills
⢠PhD or ScD in statistics
⢠Experience with occupational safety & health research
⢠Experience with statistical/coding and database software such as SAS, R, Python, MS SQL or Dataverse
⢠Expert methodological and epidemiological advice on data analysis
⢠Assistance in developing job exposure matrices
⢠Identifies appropriate analytical methods or statistical programs to address study objectives
⢠Verifies, cleans, edits, and converts data to the proper format
⢠Provides statistical programming to achieve statistical objectives or required data manipulation
⢠Constructs statistical models and graphics
⢠Uses statistical methods/techniques to evaluate study hypotheses
