The role involves leading design efforts, collaborating with global teams, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards while driving innovation in transformer solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead electrical design for advanced data center transformers, including winding concepts, losses, insulation, and performance optimizationDevelop calculations, simulations, and engineering documentation for bids and executionAlign designs with IEEE, IEC, and customer‑specific requirementsCollaborate across mechanical, electrical, cooling, and system engineering teamsParticipate in customer design reviews and present engineering rationaleSupport testing, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvementDrive innovation and standardization in materials, design methods, and digital enhancementsProvide technical input for tenders, vendor evaluations, and project deliveryResponsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelinesSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred10+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally with power transformers or data center applicationsDeep knowledge of transformer electrical design, insulation systems, losses, and short‑circuit behaviorStrong understanding of IEEE/IEC transformer standardsExperience collaborating across global, multi‑disciplinary engineering teamsFamiliarity with analysis and simulation tools such as Trafostar/SpectraCompany OverviewHitachi Energy is a renewable energy company that provides energy consulting services.
