[Remote] Revenue Account Executive (Donor Fundraising)

The Revenue Account Executive will identify, cultivate, and close new funding partnerships to support this mission, focusing on donor acquisition and building relationships with high-potential prospects.ResponsibilitiesProactively identify and research new donor and partner prospects aligned with Code.org’s mission and prioritiesBuild and manage a pipeline of qualified leads through outreach, referrals, and prospecting strategiesConduct discovery meetings and pitch conversations to understand prospect goals and align them with funding opportunitiesCollaborate with internal collaborators to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and donor materialsDrive the full sales cycle from first touch through close, with a focus on multi-year, six-figure commitmentsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce, tracking all prospect interactions and pipeline stagesCoordinate with development operations to ensure smooth gift processing, reporting, and stewardshipCollaborate with Marketing, Programs, and Product teams to tailor donor messaging and ensure alignment with organizational prioritiesRepresent Code.org at conferences, donor meetings, and industry events as neededMeet and exceed individual fundraising goals as agreed upon with the Head of DevelopmentContribute to team-wide initiatives to diversify Code.org’s donor base and test new fundraising strategiesHelp establish scalable, repeatable outreach and pitch practices for future team growthSkills2–3 years of frontline nonprofit fundraising experience, including direct engagement with individual donors and cultivation of net-new donor relationshipsDemonstrated success managing a donor portfolio with individual gifts ranging from $25K–$100KExperience owning and delivering against annual fundraising goals of $1M+, with clear accountability for resultsProven ability to manage the full fundraising cycle from prospect identification and cultivation through solicitation, stewardship, and closeExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiencesStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a consultative, donor-first approachSelf-motivated, resilient, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, passionate environmentStrong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritiesDemonstrated passion for education, equity, or technologyFamiliarity with philanthropic, corporate social responsibility, or nonprofit funding landscapesExperience using Salesforce or similar CRM to track progress and manage a pipelineBe a U.S. Citizen or Permanent ResidentWork within the continental United StatesPass a pre-employment background checkBe willing to travel 10-20% of the timeBenefitsPerformance-based incentive bonusesTechnology subsidy consistent with our Bring Your Own Device environmentFlexible, engaging, and remote working environmentPaid time off: 5 weeks total, comprised of 3 weeks vacation annually, plus a 2-week winter break office closure (including Christmas and New Year's), and sick leaveMedical, dental and vision premiums paid at 100% for FT positions and their dependentsOption to participate in 403b retirement planAnnual professional development stipendCompany OverviewCode.org is a non-profit foundation focusing on developing computer programming education in the U.S. It was founded in 2012, and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
