Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pennsylvania College of Technology is seeking a Regional Admissions Recruiter to join their Admissions team. The role focuses on recruiting prospective students, developing recruitment strategies, and building relationships to support students through the acceptance process.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in all aspects of the College’s off-campus recruitment programManage an extensive travel schedule for an assigned geographic territory. This travel includes in-state and out-of-state recruitment of students and may require travel to other territories outside of assigned territory as neededSchedule and attend high school and career & technical education center visits and classroom presentations, college fairs, transfer fairs, and other recruitment-based events. Includes appropriate correspondence prior to and following the visit or eventDevelop data-driven strategies for recruitment in assigned territory. Evaluate the effectiveness of the various approaches taken and make recommendations for adjustments where appropriateCoordinate specialized programming for the assigned territory (e.g., regional information sessions, campus bus trips, etc.)Explore and recommend new initiatives to cultivate relationships with secondary school counselors, community-based organizations, community college personnel, and other individuals with influence in the college search processDesign and deliver presentations to groups of prospective students and their supporters off campusMonitor, understand, and analyze data and reports to track progress towards meeting enrollment goalsDevelop, manage, and recommend to the Director a budget for recruitment activities within assigned territoryProvide complete support and follow-up to prospective students and their supporters via multiple modes of communicationDevelop and implement effective strategies to manage and drive inquiries and applicants through the admissions funnelCollaborate with offices campus-wide to provide information that students need to convert from an inquiry to an applicantAssess applications for inactivity and suggest cancellations as appropriateAssist prospective transfer students in understanding the College’s external transcript evaluation process and conduct unofficial transcript evaluationsParticipate in virtual recruitment activities including but not limited to information sessions, online chats, webinars, and college fairsActively support the College’s marketing initiativesParticipate in the Admissions Office social media activityEffectively use the office’s constituent relationship management system (CRM), Slate, including ensuring data integrity and timeliness of data entryProvide telephone and chat coverage as needed during remote work hoursParticipate in professional organizations that directly relate to the work of a regional admissions recruiterMaintain working knowledge of general office proceduresMaintain working knowledge of Admissions policies and procedures, and recommend to the supervisor revisions as appropriateMaintain a thorough working knowledge of majors across academic schools, including special admissions requirementsMaintain a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the College’s matriculation process beyond Admissions, including financial aid, placement testing, new student advising, course scheduling, bill paying, orientation, residence life, move-in, etcMaintain working knowledge of all guidelines related to confidentiality of student information and records (FERPA)Assist with the development, implementation, and assessment of special projects and other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's DegreeValid and in State Driver's LicenseExperience in college admissions preferred, or related professional experience in marketing/sales, customer service, human services or educationDeveloped organizational skillsSensitivity to the expectations of students, parents, and staffAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt to changing assignments and multiple prioritiesAbility to work both collaboratively and independentlyAbility to build strong working relationships with diverse groupsEvidence of strong written communication and presentation skillsAbility to make decisions and exercise independent judgment in a time-sensitive environmentSolid technical skills including Microsoft OfficeAbility to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlinesEvidence of a strong customer-service orientationAbility to conduct admissions activities with the highest level of integrityMaintain understanding of trends in higher educationExperience with remote workTravel and recruitment experience is assigned regional areaFamiliarity with CRM systems and practicesBilingual speaking and writingBenefitsMedical and dental insurancesRetirement plansPaid time offEducational benefits for employees and dependents at Penn College and Penn State UniversityCompany OverviewPennsylvania College of Technology, a special mission affiliate of Penn State, is the home of hands-on learning for in-demand careers.
