The role involves leading a team to implement privacy policies, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure compliance with global regulations.ResponsibilitiesOwn day-to-day execution of the global privacy programImplement scalable policies, processes, and operational frameworksLead privacy assessments (PIAs, DPIAs, TIAs)Oversee DSAR intake, tracking, and resolutionReport on KPIs, metrics, and program maturityMonitor and operationalize compliance across global, regional, and sector-specific regulations, including: GDPR, UK GDPR, NIS2, Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, HIPAA, GLBA, FedRAMP, CJIS, and other applicable frameworksTranslate regulatory requirements into scalable operational processes and system-level controlsBuild and maintain data inventories and data mapsIdentify privacy risks and drive mitigation strategiesSupport incident response and breach notification processesConduct internal and vendor privacy auditsPartner with Legal, Security, IT, and Product teamsEmbed privacy-by-design into systems and processesDeliver privacy guidance and training to business stakeholdersManage vendor privacy obligations and sub-processor trackingMaintain ROPA and privacy documentationCreate operational playbooks and workflowsPrepare reporting for leadership and auditsSupport regulatory inquiriesLead and mentor Privacy Operations SpecialistsDrive accountability, performance, and career growthImprove workflows and operational scalabilityAlign team priorities with business and compliance goalsSkillsBachelor's degree in Law, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical or legal discipline6–8 years of professional experience in privacy, cybersecurity, or compliance roles within a technical environment, ideally in a SaaS organization, including 3–5 years of leadership/people management experienceIndustry-recognized privacy or security certifications such as IAPP (CIPM, CIPT) or CISSPHands-on experience conducting technical privacy risk assessments and evaluationsStrong expertise (3+ years) administering and configuring OneTrust or similar privacy platforms, including modules for assessments, data mapping, consent tracking, and DSAR workflowsDeep understanding of global data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, and comparable frameworksAbility to translate regulatory and legal requirements into technical controls and system implementationsProven experience partnering with product and engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design principles, particularly when handling sensitive or regulated dataWorking knowledge of data classification standards, retention policies, and data lifecycle practicesExperience overseeing privacy operations within large, complex organizationsAdvanced degree in legal studies or a Juris Doctor (JD)Project management experience and/or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, Agile)Experience leveraging automation tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, or similar platforms, along with exposure to AI/ML applications in compliance or privacy operationsFamiliarity with data governance platforms, SIEM solutions, and privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs)Advanced experience (5+ years) working with OneTrust, including customization and optimization of assessments, data inventory, consent management, and DSAR processesProficiency in scripting or developing automation solutionsBenefitsW2 optionElevate's curated training suite to enhance and develop your skillsAccess to hands-on support, networking opportunities, and accessing the most up-to-date resourcesOpportunity to work with our best top law firms and law department customersCompany OverviewElevateFlex (flexible legal resourcing) and Elevate (the law company) create a unique combination.
