[Remote] Platform Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Coforge is hiring an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with a strong software engineering foundation. This role involves leading efforts to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of applications and platforms, while also mentoring team members and managing deployments.ResponsibilitiesCoaching and mentoring fellow team membersHandle deployments to AWS and Kubernetes platformsProvide support for the AWS and Kubernetes platforms, focusing on the customer-facing applications the team supportsManage mobile applications in the App and Play stores, including deploymentsAutomate deployment processes and develop and refine infrastructure as codeWork with a global team to ensure high availability and scalability within the platformCollaborate with SREs to resolve platform-related issuesUse Splunk and similar tools to monitor and troubleshoot platform issuesHandle content delivery by utilizing contentful templatesSkillsExperience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and/or Platform EngineerSuperb written and oral communication skillsExtensive experience with observability and monitoring, especially with Open Telemetry, Splunk, AppDynamics, and DatadogExperience with AWS, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShiftBackground in DevOps practices – Exposure to how pipelines are setup and how to debug issues if any error occurs as part of deploymentScripting experience with Python, Node.js, or TypeScriptGood debugging skills to dig deep and figure out the root cause of the problem in quick turnaround timeExperience with disaster recovery, business continuity planning, Linux, and shell scriptingPossess a 'Can Do' attitude, with a view to moving the business forwardDemonstrated skill and passion for operational excellence and solution deliveryExperience in applying compliance requirements, industry best practices, and external knowledgeA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Consulting experienceDeep background working in Agile methodologyKnowledge of cloud-native application architecture design patternsProven ability to assist in leading small to medium-sized teamsITIL Foundation certificationAWS, Azure, or GCP certificationsCompany OverviewCoforge is a IT solutions organization, servicing customers in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
