[Remote] Principal AI Engineer/Solution Architect/Project Manager

Sectech Solutions is a US-Based Insurance organization specializing in property & casualty, accident & health, and specialty insurance solutions. They are seeking a Principal AI Engineer/Solution Architect/Project Manager to design and develop AI solutions, architect scalable infrastructure, and mentor a development team while collaborating with various stakeholders. Responsibilities • Design and develop end-to-end GenAI solutions hands-on (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, LLM fine-tuning, API integrations) for their portfolio of insurance AI initiatives • Architect scalable, secure AI infrastructure on Azure, defining integration patterns, data flows, and API contracts between GenAI services and core insurance systems (policy admin, claims, CRM) • Evaluate and prototype emerging GenAI technologies (GPT-4/5, Claude, Gemini, vector databases, semantic search) through rapid POCs, assessing technical feasibility and business fit for C&F use cases • Apply critical judgment to determine when GenAI is appropriate versus when traditional ML/statistical methods are needed, articulating trade-offs to stakeholders and recommending optimal approaches • Write production-quality code in Python for AI pipelines, data processing, model inference, and system integrations, ensuring high performance, maintainability, and adherence to enterprise standards • Mentor the offshore development team of 10 through code reviews, technical deep-dives, pair programming sessions, and knowledge-sharing on GenAI best practices and insurance domain patterns • Collaborate directly with Microsoft Azure AI teams and third-party AI vendors to troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize model performance, and negotiate integration specifications • Conduct AI research and experimentation to stay ahead of industry trends, identifying opportunities to apply cutting-edge techniques (agentic workflows, multimodal models, reasoning engines) to insurance challenges • Establish and enforce AI engineering standards, including testing frameworks, observability instrumentation, security protocols, and governance policies for responsible AI deployment • Partner with the AI Program Manager & BA to translate business requirements into technical designs, provide effort estimates, and deliver working solutions for 8–12 concurrent fast-moving initiatives Skills • Strong background in AI within an insurance/financial services organization • Experience in designing and developing end-to-end GenAI solutions hands-on (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, LLM fine-tuning, API integrations) • Ability to architect scalable, secure AI infrastructure on Azure, defining integration patterns, data flows, and API contracts between GenAI services and core insurance systems • Experience in evaluating and prototyping emerging GenAI technologies (GPT-4/5, Claude, Gemini, vector databases, semantic search) • Ability to apply critical judgment to determine when GenAI is appropriate versus when traditional ML/statistical methods are needed • Experience writing production-quality code in Python for AI pipelines, data processing, model inference, and system integrations • Experience mentoring development teams through code reviews, technical deep-dives, pair programming sessions, and knowledge-sharing • Ability to collaborate with Microsoft Azure AI teams and third-party AI vendors to troubleshoot complex technical issues • Experience conducting AI research and experimentation to stay ahead of industry trends • Ability to establish and enforce AI engineering standards, including testing frameworks, observability instrumentation, security protocols, and governance policies • Experience partnering with AI Program Manager & BA to translate business requirements into technical designs Benefits • Benefits package Company Overview • At Sectech Solutions, we don’t just fill roles, we provide trusted, quality-driven people solutions to strengthen your organization’s cybersecurity capabilities.
