The Inside Sales Manager will drive profitable growth across a portfolio of transactional and mid-tier accounts by engaging with customers, developing strategic plans, and ensuring a superior customer experience.ResponsibilitiesManage a defined portfolio of transactional and inside-managed accounts to drive retention, revenue growth, and increased product adoptionConduct frequent customer touchpoints through calls, emails, and virtual meetings to understand needs, uncover opportunities, and strengthen relationshipsServe as the primary point of contact for order questions, product inquiries, pricing updates, and service coordinationMaintain regular communication cadence to ensure proactive issue resolution and ongoing satisfactionDevelop and execute account plans to grow sales and profitability within assigned inside-sales territory Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across yeast, sourdough, ingredients, and specialty solutionsManage a high-volume pipeline of leads and opportunities to support sustained growthQualify inbound leads and convert them to active opportunities, coordinating with field sales as neededProvide accurate product information, application details, and basic troubleshooting in collaboration with technical and innovative teamsSupport the introduction of new products, programs, and promotions to accelerate adoptionCoordinate customer samples, documentation, and follow-up with internal teams to ensure timely deliveryPartner closely with field sales managers to ensure seamless handoff between inside managed and strategic accountsWork with customer service, logistics, technical teams, and marketing to deliver consistent and customer-centric experienceContribute insights related to customer trends, competitive activity, and product performanceStay informed on baking industry trends, customer dynamics, and competitor developments relevant to transactional accountsMonitor purchase patterns, gaps in ordering, and buying behavior to trigger proactive outreachLeverage CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to maintain accurate account information, activities, and forecastingRepresent Lesaffre with a responsive, solution-oriented, partnership mindsetTake ownership of customer satisfaction and work cross-functionally to drive timely resolution of issuesDemonstrate resilience, urgency, and accountability in a fast-paced, high-contact environmentOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in baking science, food science, business, marketing, or a related field3 – 7 years of experience sales/account management in ingredientsAbility to travel up to 25% of the timeBenefitsCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits starting on day one, including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with employer match11 paid holidaysCompany OverviewSince 1853, Lesaffre and Red Star have used their passion and expertise to bring superior yeast & ingredients to the commercial baking industry.
