This role is perfect for you if you're a linguistic expert who loves music and wants to help improve automated translation systems. Your work will directly impact how AI understands and translates song lyrics. This is a review-only position—no translation or editing is required. You'll simply evaluate the quality and accuracy of machine-translated lyrics from English to Japanese. Key Responsibilities • Assess machine-translated lyrics for meaning, naturalness, and contextual flow. • Provide quality ratings based on predefined criteria. • Identify and flag translation issues, awkward phrasing, or cultural missteps. • Maintain a consistent and objective judgment throughout the review process. Project Details • Pay Rate: Approximately $15/hour for Learning Explicitness & Translation Quality • Location: Remote work, available to residents in many countries including Japan, US, China and Remote. • Hours: Flexible schedule, with an average of 4 hours per day. • Start Date: ASAP • Employment Type: Freelance • Project Duration: Long-term Qualifications • Native-level or near-native proficiency in both English and Japanese. • A deep understanding of linguistic nuances, idioms, and cultural context in both languages. • The ability to maintain focus and attention to detail when reviewing large volumes of content. • Prior experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assessment is a plus. • Bonus points if you have: • Familiarity with various music genres and lyrical styles. • Experience with online evaluation tools or platforms.
