Remote Occupational Therapy in LA
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the 26/27 school year, providing services onsite in a K-12 school setting located in New Orleans, LA. This role focuses on delivering occupational therapy support both directly within the school environment and via telehealth platforms to meet diverse student needs.
Responsibilities include:
ā¢ Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's educational goals.
ā¢ Providing hands-on therapy services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence within the school setting.
ā¢ Utilizing telehealth technology to extend therapy services, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care.
ā¢ Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to integrate therapy objectives into classroom activities and maintain consistent communication regarding student progress.
ā¢ Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and communications in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and desired experience:
ā¢ Valid Occupational Therapist licensure appropriate for the state of Louisiana.
ā¢ Experience delivering occupational therapy services in K-12 school systems.
ā¢ Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices for virtual service delivery.
ā¢ Strong interpersonal skills to effectively partner with students, families, and education professionals.
ā¢ Ability to manage time efficiently while balancing onsite and telehealth responsibilities.
