The role involves troubleshooting network issues, managing network changes, and ensuring compliance with security policies.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and performanceTroubleshoot and resolve network issues related to LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and data center networksConfigure, manage, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersPerform root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidents and implement preventive measuresMonitor network performance and optimize bandwidth utilizationWork closely with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and deploymentsManage network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities following change management processesEnsure compliance with security policies and best practicesCreate and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational proceduresParticipate in on-call support and provide timely resolution of critical network issuesSkills8+ years of experience in Network Operations or Network EngineeringStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP, and VPN technologiesHands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or similar networking equipmentExperience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or Check PointFamiliarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, or similarExperience with incident management and ticketing tools like ServiceNow or JiraGood understanding of network security principles and best practicesStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and documentation skillsCompany OverviewNR Consulting is an information technology consulting firm that offers contingent hiring, direct hires, and managed IT services.
