The role involves leveraging the MuleSoft ecosystem to build automated integration architecture and data pipelines for critical SaaS platforms, focusing on API design, architecture management, and collaboration with stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and implementation of APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Develop reusable MuleSoft components, connectors, RAML specifications, and rigorous technical documentationArchitect and maintain integration flows connecting multiple SaaS platforms. Manage the end-to-end API lifecycle, including design, versioning, mapping, testing, and deploymentAnalyze business and technical requirements to translate them into technical integration specifications and future-state workflowsConfigure API security policies, gateways, SLAs, and continuous monitoring through MuleSoft administrative tools to ensure secure data transmissionParticipate in integration testing, error handling design, and root-cause defect analysis. Support comprehensive troubleshooting and performance optimization for API integrationsCollaborate with technical and business stakeholders to validate integration specifications. Provide detailed knowledge transfer and integration best practices to internal County team membersParticipate in weekly status meetings with the Department's single point of contact. Track integration defects and technical environment risks, categorizing issues by severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low) in a weekly progress logSkillsA degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline5+ years of IT development experienceAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical team membersMust be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card)Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checksExtensive, hands-on expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Runtime Manager, and expert-level proficiency in DataWeaveProven experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and specialized Mule applicationsStrong mastery of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP)Documented experience integrating two or more SaaS systems within an enterprise environmentAdvanced proficiency with JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, TLS, and modern API security standardsProven ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical integration requirementsStrong debugging, performance tuning, and environment configuration skillsDirect experience designing or building API integrations with one or more of the following platforms is highly desirable: CGI Advantage 4.0 (Financial/ERP systems), Workday (HR/Finance), PaymentWorks (Vendor onboarding and payment compliance), Tyler Munis (ERP), Euna Grants (Grant management)Experience designing integrations or middleware solutions for government or public sector environmentsFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or DevOps CI/CD pipelinesMuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD – Level 1 or 2)MuleSoft Certified Integration ArchitectCompany OverviewThe A.C.Coy Company is a national staffing and consulting firm.
