[Remote] Frontend Engineer

In this role, the Frontend Engineer will build high-quality user interfaces, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to frontend architecture as the product evolves.ResponsibilitiesBuild high-quality, performant user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend toolingOwn features end-to-end — from design discussions and architectural decisions to implementation, testing, and monitoringCollaborate closely with Product and Design to create intuitive user experiences that solve real customer workflowsContribute to frontend architecture, component design, state management, and performance improvementsImprove reliability and observability across the frontend, including testing, logging, and monitoring practicesWork closely with backend engineers to design and consume APIs that power core product featuresParticipate in code reviews, documentation, and engineering rituals that help us scale effectivelyHelp shape frontend engineering standards, patterns, and best practices as the team growsSkillsStrong experience building production frontend applications with React and TypeScriptDeep understanding of modern web technologies, browser behavior, and performance optimizationExperience shipping features end-to-end in a fast-moving environmentComfortable working with product requirements that may be ambiguous, breaking them into clear technical tasksAbility to collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (Design, Product, AI, Backend)Strong communication skills — able to explain trade-offs and propose solutions clearlyExcited to work in-person in Toronto and help build a high-energy, collaborative engineering hubExperience at high-growth startups or early-stage teamsFamiliarity with Redux or similar state-management librariesExperience with data visualization, real-time UI updates, or complex forms/workflowsExperience working with AI-powered products or integrating LLM-driven interactions into the UIBackground in logistics, operations, or workflow-heavy enterprise productsStrong product intuition or UX sensibilityBenefitsCompetitive Salary + Stock OptionsComprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental BenefitsFlexible PTOOn-site GymMonthly stipendCompany OverviewAugment is the AI productivity platform for supply chain.
