Tax Preparer for Simple GP LLC + LP/SPV Venture Fund Filings, K-1 Prep, and Annual Compliance
We are seeking an experienced U.S.-based tax preparer, EA, or CPA to support annual tax preparation and filing for 5 simple investment vehicles used in venture Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) structures. Each vehicle has a GP LLC and an LP entity.
This is no bookkeeping/CFO role. We are looking for a reliable, cost-effective professional who can handle recurring annual entity tax prep and K-1 preparation efficiently and accurately.
Each investment entity involved:
ā¢GP LLC
ā¢ LP / SPV entities used for venture investments
ā¢ Simple structures with relatively very low transaction volume annually
Scope of work may include:
ā¢ Preparation and filing of federal and applicable state returns for GP LLC and LP entities
ā¢ Preparation of investor K-1s
ā¢ Review of prior-year filings for continuity
ā¢ Light tax support regarding entity classification and annual compliance requirements
ā¢ Coordination on deadlines, extension filings, and information requests
ā¢ Secure handling of sensitive investor and entity information
What we need from you:
ā¢ Demonstrated experience preparing partnership tax returns, including Form 1065 and K-1s
ā¢ Experience with investment entities, funds, SPVs, LLCs, and LPs
ā¢ Ability to work efficiently on relatively straightforward entities without overcomplicating the process
ā¢ Clear communication and responsiveness
ā¢ Secure document handling practices
MUST HAVE: Preparer tax identification number (PTIN)
Strong preference for candidates with:
ā¢ U.S. EA or CPA credential
ā¢ Prior work with venture funds, syndicates, SPVs, private investment vehicles, or small funds
ā¢ Familiarity with capital accounts, partner allocations, management entities, and GP/LP structures
ā¢ Experience supporting founder-led firms, family offices, angel groups, or boutique investment managers
