The Financial Analyst will assist in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate financial information is available for strategic decisions.ResponsibilitiesCompiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information so Senior Management has accurate and timely information to make strategic and operational decisionsServes as a liaison among Finance Directors and Accounting Dept on fiscal related concerns when balancing grants/ budgetsSupports the Annual Federal Budget Process: preparation of workpapers, schedules, narratives, and budget submissionConducts reconciliation of Budget to Actuals reports, Trial Balance reports, and PMS Cash reports in preparation of federal filing submissionsPrepares and incorporates all Budget imports into accounting softwareCompiles work papers that are utilized for Reforecasts and Budgeting cyclesConducts quarterly Non-Federal Share reviews with Finance Directors and communicates deficits to corresponding partiesPrepares Non-Federal Share waivers and One Time Funding requests as requiredMaintains and assists with departmental databases utilized by internal partners (i.e., VenaVENA, Tableau, etc.)Works directly with consultants / vendors on report design as neededWorks on moderately complex financial modelingParticipates in assigned meetings, events and training as requiredAssists the Delegates with budget software support, as neededProvides Delegates with System Support Training, as neededAssist with any special requests or ad hoc projectsPerforms any and all other duties (or functions) as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree required in Finance or AccountingMinimum of 3 years experience in Finance, Accounting or Financial Planning and Analysis experience; or similar function with analytical responsibilitiesPhysical exam and background checks are required for this positionTravel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functionsMust have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportationExhibit Project management skillsDemonstrates strong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively, verbally and in writingDemonstrated computer literacy skills, especially using Google Suite apps, spreadsheets, basic data management systems and internet navigationDemonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Vlookups, formulas, pivot tables; comfortable using large data sets and translating into Financial Models/AnalysisAbility to learn new systems quicklyAbility to interact effectively with people from diverse backgroundsMust be honest, dependable, and able to meet deadlinesSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyBenefitsComprehensive Benefits PackageCompany OverviewAcelero Learning is a Harlem NY-based childhood education and family engagement services .
