[Remote] Data Engineer (Talend & Snowflake)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NR Consulting is seeking a Data Movement Engineer to support and modernize enterprise data platforms. The role involves providing production support for ETL environments and leading the design, optimization, and maintenance of Snowflake-based data solutions. Responsibilities • Production support and optimization of Snowflake and ETL data pipelines • Design and development of Snowflake data models and SQL solutions • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data integrity, latency, and pipeline issues • Implement CDC, SCD Type 2, Data Vault, and dimensional models • Support orchestration tools (Airflow, ESP) and databases (Snowflake, DB2) • Perform data quality checks, root cause analysis, and reconciliation • Maintain documentation, support playbooks, and production procedures • Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior engineers • Participate in on-call/after-hours support as needed Skills • 5+ years in data warehousing and BI environments • 3+ years advanced SQL (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) • Strong Snowflake development and data modeling expertise • Experience with CDC, SCD Type 2, and Data Vault frameworks • Proficiency in SQL, Python/Shell scripting • Familiarity with Airflow, ESP, Git, CI/CD, Jira or ServiceNow • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Company Overview • NR Consulting is an information technology consulting firm that offers contingent hiring, direct hires, and managed IT services.
