They are seeking a skilled Blast and Protective Design Lead to provide consulting services related to physical security and blast design for new and existing constructions.ResponsibilitiesProvide physical security/protective design consulting services for new and existing construction. Physical security topics include, but are not limited to, blast design, site layout, progressive collapse, and design of vehicle barriersPerform calculations to determine blast loading environmentsPerform nonlinear, dynamic analysis of building structures and faΓ§ade systems using single degree of freedom, multi degree of freedom, and finite element analysis methodologies for dynamic blast loadingsPerform nonlinear, dynamic analyses of building structures using SAP 2000, ETABS, and other commercially available software for the prevention of progressive collapseRead and interpret design drawings and REVIT modelsTransfer design information from calculations to structural, architectural, and physical security drawings/modelsDraft reports and memorandums to communicate physical security requirements and other technical design informationCoordinate physical security requirements and design information with architects, owners, contractors, and other engineering disciplinesReview shop drawings, calculations, and RFIs related to physical security design items during constructionSkillsDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering10+ years of experience related to structural dynamics, blast engineering and protective designExcellent verbal and technical writing skillsSelf-motivated and team-orientedAble to obtain security clearanceClient focused, always striving to give clients the best solutionsStrong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients' toughest challengesHigh levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable wayDemonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellenceExperience in Revit, Tekla, and AutoCAD preferredBenefitsExtensive medical, disability and life insurance coverageContinuing education benefitsPaid time offEmployee assistance programRetirement savings plan with company matching contributionsCompany OverviewAs a global engineering firm, we design infrastructure solutions that connect and elevate communities.
