[Remote] Benefits Administrator

The role involves serving as a primary contact for employee benefit inquiries, processing enrollments, and supporting open enrollment and wellness initiatives.ResponsibilitiesServe as a primary contact for employee benefit questions, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, voluntary benefits, and leaves of absenceAssist employees with benefit enrollment, life events, and issue resolution with carriers and vendorsSupport benefits communication efforts by assisting in the preparation, distributing materials and answering followâup questionsProcess benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations in ADP and vendor systemsEnsure accurate transmission of data to carriers and thirdâparty administratorsPerform regular audits of enrollment data, payroll deductions, and vendor filesMaintain benefits records, documentation, and employee files in accordance with company policiesAssist with new hire onboarding and conduct benefits orientation meetingsAdminister leaves of absence in accordance with FMLA, ADA, state, and company policiesTrack leave usage, documentation, and returnâtoâwork statusMonitor COBRA administration and employee notificationsSupport ACA compliance activities, including data collection and 1095âC preparationAssist HR with accommodation requests and compliance documentationPost and distribute the required benefits related documentsSupport the annual North America open enrollment process, including systems setup, employee communications, enrollment tracking and open enrollment meetingsCoordinate with brokers and vendors to resolve enrollment or billing issuesReview, reconcile and request payment for benefit invoicesAssist with funding and reconciliation of HSA, FSA, and commuter benefitsSupport preparation of census data, audits, and regulatory reportingProcess premium payments for employees on leave, as neededCoordinate wellness initiatives and benefitârelated programsCoordinate benefits education efforts throughout the yearParticipate in benefitsârelated projects and process improvements as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience3â5 years of experience in benefits administrationWorking knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA)Experience administering multi-state leaves of absenceStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesAbility to handle confidential information with discretionBilingual (English/Spanish) requiredExperience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRISProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience supporting Canada benefits a plusCompany OverviewThis page is owned and operated by Viral Audience.
