[Remote] Account Manager

The role involves developing strategies to meet sales quotas and acting as the primary point of contact for customers.ResponsibilitiesDetermine key customer accounts in each territory that provide a significant percentage of salesResponsible for keeping abreast of competitive products, pricing, and strategiesResponsible for selling products, services, and solutions to a customer baseResponsible for meeting sales quotas and providing yearly territory AOP numbersEstablish and execute account management strategies and actions for all accountsAssisting in developing and implementing sales forecasts, documenting business opportunities, performing sales contract reviews, and reporting sales performance to ManagementActing as the main point of contact for customersSupport the preparation of formal proposalsProviding information to the inside sales and service specialists to respond to customersRespond to all product questions or concerns from customersAbility to visit all customer accounts regularlyEnsure ongoing maintenance of relationships and service calls to promote goodwill or to resolve equipment performance problemsThorough understanding of the product and discussing product needs with customersPerform product demonstrations and present product offerings and pricing proposalsContinuous training on the Mirion product portfolioRead and understand technical and non-technical documents and contracts related to the sale of productsParticipate in trade shows and conferencesWork with purchasing department/authorities for all accounts to understand and be informed of the process, including various federal, state, and local government agenciesAbility to negotiate pricing and offerings with customersProvide field quotationsWork with inside sales support and technical support teams (ASG, Product Managers, etc.) to develop and submit formal quotationsAttend weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as assignedMaintain PBRIdentify, track, manage, and follow up on sales opportunitiesDevelop pipeline analysis and reportsWork with ASG for supportPrepare monthly reportsSupport internal departments as requested within the sales functionPerform other duties as assigned as needed by the sales directorCompany code of ethicsSuperior customer serviceSkillsMinimum 3 to 5 years of experience selling in a highly technical environment or related industryCollege/Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or Science-related disciplineMust be able to apply fundamental sales skillsKnowledgeable in customer and government procurement and bidding processesAbility to manage and coordinate long-term sales situationsMust be technically literateAbility to attend and conduct presentations internally and externallyMust have the ability to operate and demonstrate technical equipmentAssessment techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting salesMust be able to operate independently in own territoryExceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and external stakeholdersStrong interpersonal, organizational skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesMust have an outgoing personality as most of the job will be direct 'one-on-one' customer situationsStrong computer skills in a Windows environment and Microsoft OfficeA well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skillsException territory and time management skillsAble to build and maintain relationships with corporate departments and customersAble to work efficiently as a part of a team and independentlyCompleted some courses in sales techniques and fundamentalsSAP, and SalesforceElectronic, industry, and mechanical components background is an assetCompany OverviewAt Mirion Technologies, we advance radiation safety and empower the next wave of critical innovation.
