Receiving Clerk
About the position
The Receiving Clerk at G&C Food Distributors is responsible for managing inbound truck loads and ensuring efficient receiving operations. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various departments to facilitate smooth operations.
Responsibilities
? Greet and direct all incoming drivers in a timely fashion.

? Handle all incoming receiving phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist Buyers.

? Collect receiving paperwork and phone numbers from inbound drivers when necessary.
,
? Apply a lumping fee if applicable and collect payment from inbound drivers and customer pickups.
,
? Input data from the PO cover sheet into the receiving schedule, including times, names, and comments.
,
? Scan receiving paperwork into the cabinet program daily.
,
? Maintain a positive attitude throughout the entire shift.
,
? Communicate across all departments regarding receiving schedule changes.
,
? Assist other warehouse departments that may require customer service.
Requirements
? High School Diploma or equivalent required.
,
? 1 year of customer service experience required.
,
? Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
,
? Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
,
? Strong face-to-face and over-the-phone customer service skills.
,
? Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
,
? Demonstrate superb accuracy when documenting.

? Bilingual preferred.
