Project Manager (Medicaid) - Contract - Columbia, SC
About the position
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support multiple IT initiatives within the Medicaid domain. The role involves end-to-end project coordination, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight across complex healthcare IT projects.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Gather and assist in developing business and technical requirements.
ā¢ Develop comprehensive project plans and ensure execution aligns with timelines and objectives.
ā¢ Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
ā¢ Track and ensure timely completion of all deliverables with high quality standards.
ā¢ Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and management.
ā¢ Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders across multiple levels.
ā¢ Maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, metrics, and reports.
ā¢ Facilitate communication between technical teams and business users.
ā¢ Support multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
Requirements
ā¢ 5+ years of Project Management experience.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in healthcare insurance or Medicaid IT projects.
ā¢ Strong experience in project planning, effort estimation, and resource allocation.
ā¢ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
ā¢ Experience with Medicaid or healthcare delivery systems.
ā¢ PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory).
ā¢ Strong exposure to healthcare IT environments.
