Project and Workflow Coordinator
Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking a Project and Workflow Coordinator to join its Commercial Lending group in Chicago. The role involves managing client relationships, coordinating workflow for deals, and recommending process improvements while ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with deal teams to manage client relationships, deal work, and deadlinesCoordinates the deal team with active and timely communication and regularly scheduled meetings and check-insAnalyzes existing systems and procedures and recommends process improvements to ensure efficiency and cost-effectivenessWorks with attorneys, senior staff and Chapman Practice Innovations to document processes, create databases, and adopt technology solutionsEffectively communicates project updates and status to stakeholders, including clientsCoordinates workflow for each deal, corresponds with client teams and deal teams, and assures timely and efficient transaction executionCreates, monitors and updates a database of open matters of similar type and complexity across the practice groupCoordinates post-closing work streams and deal team personnel handling those work streamsCoordinates client team meetings, deal team meetings, and business development activitiesSkillsExcellent project management and organization skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to project professional presence and demonstrate flexibility in work assignmentsDemonstrated attention to detail and timelinesAbility to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraintsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to understand and utilize technology to locate information, set up databases and spreadsheets, and work with form documents and other applicationsCommitted to following all Firm security protocols and maintaining information securityAbility to concentrate effectively on a task while juggling multiple competing projects, interruptions, and deadlinesCapacity to effectively manage professional personnel and time-sensitive assignmentsExcellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills required to communicate and follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staffAttend to accuracy and detail for extended periods of timeAdvanced Smartsheet and/or Microsoft Excel experienceWork may require more than 35 hours per week to perform the duties of the position and may require non-standard work hoursBachelor's degree requiredPrior project management, law firm or other relevant experienceCompany OverviewChapman is a law firm focused on finance.
