About the Role As a Remote Prior Authorization Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of patient care—helping providers, pharmacies, and insurers navigate the prior authorization process. Your work ensures patients get timely access to the treatments and medications they need. Key Responsibilities • Manage outbound (and occasional inbound) calls to patients, providers, and payers. • Review and process prior authorization requests for medications, services, and procedures. • Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and insurance coverage. • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and insurers to obtain required documentation. • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all requests. • Document activities in internal systems for auditing and reporting. ? What We’re Looking For • 1+ year of recent experience in prior authorizations, benefits verification, or insurance claims. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD codes, and insurance processes. • Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex information clearly. • Ability to manage high call volume and multiple tasks with accuracy. • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills. • Must have high-speed internet with modem access (hotspots not accepted). • High School Diploma or equivalent required. ??
